Pre-Installation Checklist: Preparing Your Site for a Concrete Plant
The successful commissioning of a concrete mixing plant—whether it’s a compact HZS25 or a high-capacity HZS180—depends entirely on the 72 hours before the first component is lifted. Poor site preparation leads to more than just delays; it can cause structural misalignment and long-term mechanical wear.
To ensure a seamless transition from delivery to production, Xingye Machinery’s engineering team has outlined the critical preparations required for the five core systems: the mixing host, weighing system, conveyors, storage silos, and the control unit.
1. Inventory Audit and Component Integrity
Before the first crane arrives, a comprehensive inventory check is mandatory. Standard operating procedure dictates that all parts and connectors must be cross-referenced with the packing list. During transit to remote sites in regions like Southeast Asia or Africa, vibration can occasionally affect fasteners or sensitive sensors.
- Visual Inspection: Check for paint abrasion or structural deformation.
- Mechanical Verification: Ensure JS-series mixer shafts and motor housings are free of debris.
- Documentation: Confirm all technical manuals and wiring diagrams are on-site and accessible to the lead engineer.
2. Resource Mobilization: Cranes and Personnel
Installation requires heavy lifting capacity. Inadequate equipment is a primary cause of site accidents. For a standard medium-sized plant, we recommend the following minimum resource allocation:
| Resource Type | Specification / Count | Primary Task |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Crane | 40t capacity / 20m+ lift height | Host system and silo assembly |
| Auxiliary Crane | 8t capacity | Conveyor and peripheral installation |
| Skilled Operators | 2-4 Certified Crane Operators | Precision placement of components |
| Ground Crew | 3-5 Auxiliary Workers | Bolting, leveling, and site clearing |
3. Civil Works and Electrical Grounding
The foundation is the most critical trust point of your plant. Any deviation in the foundation plane will lead to uneven stress on the batching plant's structural legs, potentially causing metal fatigue over time.
Foundation Leveling
Construction must strictly follow the Xingye Foundation Map provided with your equipment. Use a high-precision level to calibrate the foundation plane. The host foundation and cement silo foundations should be poured and cured simultaneously to ensure uniform settling.
Electrical Safety and Grounding
In regions prone to lightning or power grid instability, such as the Middle East or tropical zones, grounding is non-negotiable. To protect the PLC control systems and weighing sensors from surges:
- Pre-bury the grounding electrode during the civil works phase.
- Ensure the grounding resistance is less than 4Ω.
- Verify all electrical cabinets are dust-proofed before the final power-on test.
Proper preparation ensures that your concrete mixing station operates at its rated capacity from day one. If you are planning a new project and require specific foundation drawings or technical site requirements for our HZS or WBZ series plants, contact our technical support team for a consultation.
